ConfettiGo supports custom filling and packaging of hand-twist confetti cannons. The specific combination needs to be confirmed based on the selected model, order quantity, and expected market.
For wholesalers, importers, and private brands, briefs should describe two things separately: the content inside each cannon and how the product is presented and packed. The cannon or tube design does not specify its contents, and approval of a filling sample does not approve the retail packaging. The cannon or tube design does not specify its contents, and Approval of a filling sample does not approve the retail packaging..
This guide explains how to translate these two decisions into specifications for quotation and approval. It covers factory customization, rather than opening or refilling finished cannons after purchase.
1. Define the contents inside each cannon
Start with the effect you want, and then determine the materials and format. Paper, metallic-looking confetti, and ribbons are useful starting points, but they are not three mutually exclusive materials. Streamers describe a strip format that can have different substrates or surface treatments.
For a fuller introduction to paper types and production, see what confetti paper is and how it is made. For a custom cannon brief, record the following details:
| Filling detail | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Material and finish | Proposed paper or other substrate, coating and treatment; do not use “gold” or “metallic” as the complete material description |
| Shape or strip format | Piece shape and dimensions, or streamer width, length and roll format |
| Color | Color reference and acceptable variation, not only a general name such as pink or blue |
| Mixture | Components and agreed proportions or another measurable acceptance criterion |
| Net fill | Amount per cannon, unit of measurement, measurement method and tolerance |
Distinguish a mixed fill inside one cannon from an assortment of differently filled cannons. For example, the request for "pink and blue packaging" does not specify whether each unit contains two colors, or whether the packaging contains separate pink and blue filling units. Write down the arrangements you need.
The filling and quantity must be suitable for the selected model. Customization does not mean that every material, shape, or streamer configuration is suitable for every hand-twist cannon. Please request confirmation before considering options as part of the order specifications.

2. Define packaging for each level
Packaging customization is not just about adding logos. Explain how the product will be sold and handled, and then specify the packaging level required for that sales channel. It is necessary to confirm the available formats, printing methods, and sizes for the selected configuration.
| Packaging level | Details to include in the brief |
|---|---|
| Cannon exterior | Brand artwork, product identification, filling identification where appropriate, and space for model-specific instructions |
| Selling unit | Single unit or multipack, number of cannons, filling assigned to each unit, label language and barcode requirements |
| Inner or display packaging, if required | Proposed format, units per box, arrangement and artwork; ask which formats are available |
| Master carton | Units and inner packs per carton, carton dimensions and weights, shipping marks and handling information |
Labels, printed boxes, display packs and bulk cartons have different requirements. Don't put them under the line of "customized packaging". Determine the required level and have the supplier confirm the structure and quantity.
If the product requires its filling color to be concealed before use, please specify this requirement. Agree on how to identify units and cartons during the packaging process without exposing the contents of the packaging for consumers.

3. Make the filling consistent with the artwork
Check the content and packaging together. Correct filling may still be paired with incorrect labels, while approved designs may describe configurations that have not yet been approved for production.
Before approval, please check:
- The model reference matches the filling specifications and operating instructions.
- The filling color and any mixed packaging arrangement match the sales unit description.
- Artwork must clearly state product size and net fill where either is shown (if specified).
- Selling packs and master cartons should label the quantity at the correct level.
- The material or performance statement matches the evidence of the proposed configuration.
Maintain instructions and safety information specific to the model and destination requirements. Packaging artwork shall not replace the technical review of these instructions.
4. Confirm samples and changes before bulk approval
Inquire about which filling, printing, and packaging samples are available, what each sample represents, and what the terms are. Digital artwork proofs can display text and layout, but cannot determine physical materials, filling amounts, or assembled-packaging dimensions.
record the following details references approved for each use: filling specifications, sample identifiers, artwork versions, and packaging specifications. Resolve differences before approving bulk supply. If there are changes in materials, color mixing, quantity, model, or packaging, please agree on which approvals need to be repeated.
Product weight, carton weight, and net fill weight are different measurement values. If the filling is specified by volume, please reach a consensus on how to measure it; Without a definite basis, do not convert it into grams.
Any operation check must follow the approved instructions of the selected model within the allowed settings. Do not open, refill, or alter the finished cannon unless explicitly permitted by the manufacturer. The appearance of the sample cannot determine its biodegradability, flame retardancy, or stain resistance.

5. Send One Brief for a Comparable Quotation
For a custom hand-twist cannon inquiry, provide:
- Destination country, sales channel and intended use.
- Model reference or a request for model selection, with the desired filling specification.
- Order quantity broken down by filling, color, artwork and selling-pack configuration.
- Packaging levels, label language, barcode needs and available artwork files.
- Required documents, target delivery date and delivery basis, if known.
Ask for written confirmation of the accepted configuration, sample terms, MOQ basis, production schedule, packing data and any separate printing or setup charges. Confirm whether minimum quantities apply per model, filling, color, artwork or packaging format.
For general order planning, see the MOQ, lead time and packaging guide. To compare supplier offers, use the quotation comparison guide.
Send ConfettiGo your filling brief and packaging brief together. Agree the model, contents, artwork, packing and commercial terms before approving the order
