One supplier quotes for each cannon, another quotes for retail packaging, and another quotes for cardboard boxes. The shipping cost may be included in one quotation, but not in the next quotation. Before deciding which confetti cannon is cheaper, compare the same products, quantities, and delivery destinations.
This guide helps wholesale buyers organize comparisons. It does not determine the safety of the model, transportation classification, or eligibility for specific markets.
1.Match the Product Before Comparing Price
Ask each supplier to quote against one written specification. The brief should include the model, operating action, power source, tube dimensions, filling material, colors and packaging options. If filling quantity is relevant, request its stated weight and tolerance rather than judging it from tube length.
Separate product differences from price differences. Cheaper models with different mechanisms, fillings, or retail packaging are an alternative configuration rather than similar products. Before comparing the total, record the substitutes and ask if they match your procurement brief.
Retain the expected market and usage in the briefing. Please have the personnel responsible for reviewing evaluate the specifications and supporting documents for specific models separately; Competitive pricing is not evidence of compliance.

2.Convert Prices to the Same Unit
Identify what the quoted price buys: one cannon, one retail pack or one master carton.
Product price per cannon = quoted product amount ÷ number of cannons covered by that amount.
If you sell retail packaging, you also need to calculate the cost per package. Before converting the cardboard box price, confirm each pack of cannons and each box packaging. Separate printing, setup, and other one-time expenses from recurring product costs to maintain clarity in comparing first-order and repeat orders.
For mixed orders, calculate each SKU separately. The average price of different models can conceal the differences in packaging and product costs. Compare the same order quantity, currency, and exchange rate assumptions, and record the effective date of each quotation.

3.Check the Packing Data Behind the Freight Estimate
Request the proposed packing details for the actual order:
| Packing item | Information needed |
|---|---|
| Unit count | Cannons per retail pack, inner pack and master carton |
| Cartons | Total carton count and external dimensions |
| Weight | Gross weight per carton and shipment total |
| Pallets, if used | Quantity, packed dimensions and gross weight |
Give the same data and destination to the forwarder. Ask how the service calculates its chargeable weight or volume, which surcharges apply, and how long the estimate remains valid. Do not use an unconfirmed carton size as a final freight input.
Smaller cardboard boxes will not automatically pack better. Confirm the requirements for protection, handling, and stacking, rather than assuming that a decrease in volume means a reduction in damage.
It is necessary to check the transportation classification and carrier acceptance to determine the exact model and route. Neither "handheld" nor "popper" can prove that the product can be transported as ordinary goods.

4.Compare Delivery Terms and Costs Without Double Counting
Record the Incoterms rule, version and named place for each offer. “FOB China” or “delivery included” is not precise enough for a comparison. Ask for the named port or address and a written breakdown of included charges.
Use the ICC Incoterms overview as a reference, then resolve any difference between the stated rule and the quotation wording. Do not assume that EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP offers cover the same obligations.
For this purchasing worksheet, compare costs to the same receiving location:
Comparable landed total = quoted amount + required costs not already included.
Check packaging, customization, origin processing, shipping costs, insurance, customs clearance, tariffs, destination processing, and local delivery. Mark each project as included, separately paid, estimated, or not applicable. Do not add shipping fees again to the quotation that already includes shipping fees.
List import value-added tax or goods and services tax, as well as payment or financing costs separately. Ask your accountant how to handle recoverable taxes in cost comparisons and cash budgets; Recoverability is not automatic.
Ask the customs broker to confirm classification, origin, customs value and applicable charges. The European Commission’s duty explanation illustrates why a product price alone cannot establish the duty amount. No tariff code or duty rate is assumed here.
For a single SKU shipment, divide the comparable total quantity by its number of sellable units. For mixed shipments, agree on an allocation method before calculating the landed cost for each SKU; Do not distribute shipping costs evenly among products of different sizes or weights without justifiable reasons.
5.Check Whether the Lowest Total Fits the Order
A lower unit price may require a larger purchase. Confirm whether MOQ applies per model, color, artwork or pack, and whether mixed configurations are accepted. The wholesale MOQ, lead-time and packaging guide explains the underlying definitions. Compare the resulting order value with expected sales, storage capacity and available cash.
Simultaneously confirm:
- Sample cost and whether the sample represents the referenced configuration.
- Production delivery cycle, start-up events, and individual transportation estimates.
- Deposit, balance payment, and additional setup fees.
- Re order conditions and agreed upon shortage or quality dispute process.
Do not consider these as standard supplier commitments. Request written terms for the selected order. If the freight or tariff is still temporary, then the total amount is also temporary. If estimating costs may reverse a small price advantage, please clarify these costs before choosing a quote.

Choose references from the ConfettiGo product catalog, then send the destination, intended use, specification, quantity by SKU, retail-pack requirements and target arrival date through the contact page.
Ask which configurations and commercial terms are available, together with the corresponding packing data. Obtain the forwarder’s estimate and broker’s assessment before approving a final purchasing comparison. Keep unresolved product, document or transport questions open rather than replacing them with a low-price assumption.
